Susanne Gilmour - The Jemima Company

Meet Susanne Gilmour from The Jemima Company. Susanne is a dear friend of mine and is an integral part of Skimming Stones’ beautiful sewing boxes.  We collaborate and curate all the monthly projects, coming up with ideas together to make sure each box is a delight. Susanne designs the template pieces, makes up the projects and films a little exclusive video to help subscribers make the kits up with ease. 

This collaboration is a truly fun experience partly due to our friendship, but also because Susanne is very good at what she does. The fabrics used are all my own designs and many are now created especially with future projects in mind making Skimming Stones sewing boxes unique.  

When Susanne is not working on our monthly kits she is making beautiful hand made rag dolls that are sold worldwide along with making soft furnishings for clients. You can find out more about the beautiful work of The Jemima Company here.

We’re a small and creative team at Skimming Stones  - next time I will introduce my daughter Charlotte who helps with production and procurement.
